You might still ask why the Medium writer wants to create their own publication. There are reasons other than increasing the view number surely. Take me for example, I created my publication because I wanted to organize my articles which were written in a lot of various fields. On the publication page, I could classify my stories to help my readers find the works in the same category easily.
